"Maria Buzina " was born in 2004 , to participate of Babilônia Hype Fair, in Rio de Janeiro. The goal of artist Gabi Golçalves , the artisit,- or as we know her, "Maria Buzina" , was simple: to develop exclusive bags and exclusives accessories in an essentially organic process, using unconventional materials.After experimenting with several unique materials, Gabi came to used Truck Canvas, which actually brought her back to the roots of her family. Gabi's grandparents were truck drivers, and working with a material that revives the smells, the grease stains, the memories of her childhood and past is truly inspiring for her. Each canvas tells a story, and the stains that others may see become a unique canvas for Gabi to create recycled fashion that tells a history. The tarps have spent many years traveling throughout South America, and continue to travel the world now recreated by this talented young artist into functional fashion. Recycled, and beautiful- each of these bags is to be treasured!
