Most Shipibo artisans are women who are inspired to create their own,unique distinctive patterns. Everysingle Shipibo pattern is different
from the rest, and each has special meanings.
Often, a single piece of art is formed by several women working together. The artisan may delegate part of the creation process to another woman.
